The Start of Something New

The start of something new…

Welcome and thank you for being here. I am so eager to have a space to share, explore, and create community together.

Starting something new is equally thrilling and terrifying. As a homeschool mama of 2 and a program director of the non-profit, The Hiding Place, an on-site staff member of The Hiding Place safe property, I somewhat panicked when I heard God tell me to start The Trauma Mama Counselor website, inspired from the social media accounts that were hobbies. From past experience, I know to be obedient when God asks me to take the step {sometimes a leap} that He asks me to. So… here I am!

One thing you should know about me is I am a lover of community and of beautiful, unique people! I love creating community, being a part of community and seeing communities of unique individuals thrive. The Trauma Mama Counselor is here to create a community that thrives by discussing aspects of trauma that others shy away from, sharing tips/prayers/lots of love around the trauma that we face and being an outlet to learn and gain knowledge from.

A few other things I would like to include…

  1. All are welcome here, and that means ALL.

  2. Social Media Accounts/Websites/Online Communities are NOT to be used in place of therapy or counseling. I am a firm believer that EVERYONE needs therapy. If you haven’t found the therapist that you click with yet, fill out the contact form and let’s chat! I will try to help find a therapist/counselor in your area that you love.

  3. Kind people are my kind of people. All engagement on The Trauma Mama Counselor website, social media accounts, etc. must be kind. Hate will not be tolerated {and it takes so much negative energy- we deserve more than that!}

  4. I don’t love you because you love Jesus, I love you because I love Jesus. If you affiliate with a different religion other than Christianity, you’re still welcome here {See #1}. We can have different values, opinions and thoughts and STILL get along.

  5. If you have found this site and you are in need, reach out via the contact form and let me know. I have a vast amount of resources through the non-profit I work within and am more than willing to share those resources with you!

Well— that’s it!

I think I have officially wrote and finished my first blog post. If you’re still reading— HI! Thank you! We’re going to have some fun!

Happy days ahead,
